Our Masterchef OWNER AND CHEF VASSILIOS TSAGANIS STARTED HIS CAREER WORKING ON VARIOUS CRUISE SHIPS AS EXECUTIVE CHEF, THEN DECIDED TO COME TO THE UNITED STATES. HE STARTED HIS ADVENTURE IN NEW JERSEY NY WHERE HE WORKED IN MANY FINE DINING RESTAURANTS AND THEN DECIDED TO MOVE TO A WARMER CLIMATE, FLORIDA AND HELPED HIS VERY DEAR FRIEND OPEN A LOT OF RESTAURANTS ON THE EAST COAST OF FLORIDA. VASSILIOS FINALLY OPENED HIS OWN RESTAURANT IN MARATHON IN THE FLORIDA KEYS CALLED THE QUAY. VASSILIOS OWNED THAT FOR SEVERAL YEARS, SOLD IT AND OPENED THE QUAY RESTAURANT ON DUVAL STREET IN KEY WEST FOR OVER A DECADE. VASSILIOS HAS RECEIVED MANY AWARDS FOR HIS OUTSTANDING AND CREATIVE DISHES. VASSILIOS'S PASSION FOR COOKING DIDNT STOP THERE. VASSILIOS AND HIS WIFE DEBORAH DECIDED TO GIVE THE WEST COAST OF FLORIDA A TRY SO DECIDED TO MOVE TO FORT MYERS IN 2002 AND THAT'S WHEN THEY DECIDED TO OPEN PASTABILITIES AND MORE, A LITTLE SMALLER AND YET QUAINT ITALIAN AND MEDITERRANEAN RESTAURANT WITH THE SAME QUALITY FOOD AND PASSION.

“PLEASANT SURPRISE” We were in the mood for Italian and this restaurant was not too far off the island so we gave it a try. We liked it before the meal even came because they brought out warm rolls, soft butter, and a huge bowl of salad for the two of us and since my husband loves salad, he was very happy. The only dressing they offered was Italian, but it was very good. When the meal came, we were impressed again because the sauce was very thick and rich and definitely tasted like it had been homemade. The servings were large enough so that we were both only able to eat half of our meal and took the rest home. My husband is not easily impressed by Italian restaurants, but he liked this one so well that we intend to go back for his birthday dinner.
“AWESOME FOOD!” My husband who normally does not like Italian food loved this restaurant. He ordered red snapper that melted in his mouth. This Parmesan potatoes were delicious. I had the special shrimp and delightfully spicy sauce with fettuccini noodles. The salad, soup and bread were great. I couldn't leave without strawberry homemade cheesecake. We have so many left overs we will enjoy them over the next few days. Thanks for the lovely food and wonderful service.
